My 2015 Terrains engine is destroyed, no warning, no low oil alert, no smoke or leaks on the way to work it sounded off, got home, checked and alllllll the oil was gone!!! WTF I just had an oil change a month or so back and nothing was visibly leaking not even a hint! NOT ONE WARNING LIGHT!! Now its dead and I owe 7000 still. I’ll have to tow it to the dealership just to hear I’m SOL… and I thought dealing with the ford focus lawsuit would be the end of this … in fact when I traded in the faulty ford focus I told the dealer I just finished a lawsuit over a faulty transmission and joked about not wanting to sue him too … I don’t understand how they can rob people like this. I’m in the same jacked up situation I just got out of….

I been told by GMC dealer this oil problem was know by GMC but my vin# doesn't fall within the fix limit. I get it service regularly thru GMC dealer, in fact they told me of this because the oil had gotten low right after I had it serviced within the month, I took it to a dealer close to me (GMC) had oil topped off and at that time I was put on a oil change every 1500 miles to determine the rate of excessive oil consumption.

It was being used for a 3 month period each time it was showing 1.5 to 2 qts. so i was told they can fix for $4800. Retired military and this vehicle is a daily driver and constantly used to drive back and forth to Tennessee for veteran appointments. I moved from Tenn to NC in 2019. I keep a check on the oil but really if this was an engine design problem or a known problem, who can you complain to to at least see if GMC will correct the issue?
