The frequency of adding oil to this vehicle is absurd!!!!!! bought the car brand new in 2014 from the dealership and it seems as soon as the warranty was up (because its not covered under the standard warranty) I had to replace the camshaft position sensors. Did both at the same time in my garage... not cheap but the engine stopped stalling out mid drive... Oil filter was just covered in crap and sludge but no metal was detected in the used oil or the filter.. only ran full synthetic through the engine.
Then about five years after the same codes and issue with the stalling while driving happened again. Same code and the same result.. Took it into the dealership to have it resolved and the car was almost two quarts low maybe three weeks after it had a fresh oil change... (the dealership was the one that informed me about the oil consumption issue with this motor) but its inside of there allowance for burning oil. Bullshit!!!!!! The next time was not worth the 1800 dollar price tag to have them replace them again so did it myself again to just be able to still have a vehicle... now in 2024 The engine still hasn't been replaced and nothing has been done with this issue and we still have the car.. 106500 miles on it now and the same camshaft timing sensor is causing the check engine light again. My neighborhood mechanic says just get rid of the P.O.S. It will never stop happening until the engine is replaced or they come up with a solution... fed Up with the rough ass engine sound and the bullshit dealership excuses.. Need to start a class action suit against GM for the state of Ohio...
