I've had this vehicle back to the dealer numerous times for the same issue. When going over a speed bump, I hear a noise in the rear, which sounds like something needs lubrication. First, I was told (after waiting 4 hours at the dealership) that it was a shock absorber. I prepaid so the part could be ordered. Several days later, the part came in, and I was back at the dealer. We did not hear the noise. The next day, I heard it again going over speed humps in my own neighborhood. Back to the dealer. The last time I went there (following several visits where I needed to get my car back for appointments), I was told that the time in the shop was not sufficient to accurately diagnose and repair; I was given a loaner vehicle. I was advised that the bushings (?)-supposedly part of the suspension-needed to be replaced. That/those were replaced, and they drove the car to test. THE NOISE IS STILL THERE.
My service rep has been both helpful and patient, but my vehicle is still in the shop. At 1 point, I suggested getting in touch with GM to see if this has been reported as an issue with others. The service tech told me he'd even called GM for info. I Googled GM myself and saw this as a reported issue by others. My car is 4 1/2 years old but has fewer than 13000 miles on it. I really want this issue to be resolved so that I might get my car back.
