I noticed yesterday that the Rubber Gasket above the window on the Passenger side door was cracked and seemed to be detaching from the door itself. I was letting a friend out of the door and thought that the door when opened didn't look right,. So I got out and discovered that there was a crack in the rubber gasket and it was about to fall off the door, it hooks into the door's interior.

I happened to be in Glenwood Springs, Co where I purchased the 2010 Terrain, so I went to the dealership and ask them to look at it. They decided that somebody had pulled my door shut--I am the only driver-- with this rubber gasket? I just can't believe that this was their explanation of the situation. I was told to go home and put some super glue on it as it was my fault or a passenger's fault. Now this really not a reasonable explanation of why the rubber is detaching itself? I don't know of anybody that has ever ridden in my car, ever got in and sat down and pulled the door shut with the gasket? Everybody that I can think of always uses the door handle. I ask if it could be replaced and they said sure, for $165.00 plus installation.

Now I only have 26,000 miles on this car. It is located in our garage. It never sits out. I did come home and super glue it. I would just like to know if there is anyone out there with a Terrain that has had this kind of problem, or is it one of a kind? Can somebody tell me if they have ever heard of such a thing?
