Even with the high miles, this was excessive! Problem with the engine since day 1 of purchase in 2019, and reported issues right away in order to be repaired. The Keys fell out of ignition at the touch of knee, while driving. The dealer said nothing was wrong. Car stalled while driving on highway, and while street driving, very dangerous!
Onstar reported issues with engine. I had it towed numerous times due to cutoff and would not restart. Check engine light stays on. Reduced engine light always comes on, and stabilitrak light comes on, then the car reduces power to under 25 miles per hour, on highway and streets, very dangerous and can cause and accident from behind!
This is the report from dealer: Check engine light and traction control light illuminated and the vehicle had no power and is shaking. Diagnostic: P0017,P0300,P2135,P0106, P0175, P0172 P2119. and it was under a as is limited warranty. They said it was the transmission, they replaced it, and radiator, I had it replaced, and the windshield wipers stopped working, they replaced it. I replaced the pas pedal, camshaft sensor, replaced starter. After taking it to the dealer numerous of times, they kept giving me the run around about all the other things going on with the car, but would not fix the engine! They even tried to say I did not change my oil as needed, not true and have the receipt.
As of Nov 2020, they are saying I have to pay $4,163.26 to replace the timing chain, gaskets, fluids, and all 4 actuators, throttle body replacement,MAP- Manifold Pressure/Vacuum Sensor, Cylinder Engine, Replace Spark Plugs, perform 4 wheel alignment! I have requested that the dealer replace the engine or trade the car in and they said no.
I am stuck with a lemon, and General Motors customer service said that because the car was built in Canada, that it does not qualify for recall or engine replacement that the US built cars are under! I need help to resolve this, and GM customer service, headquarters and dealer are not helping! This car was defectively made! Do not buy a GM made car, please!
