Mentioned to the dealer when the vehicle was brought in for excessive oil consumption. The dealer only to offered to pay 50% of the repair cost as a sign of their goodwill. Found out later that this problem is common and the vehicle has open recalls on exposed metal along door panels. Unfortunately my claim period has expired for this door panel recall. My beef is if the dealership knew about the rust why were they only willing to pay only 50% and because of goodwill.
