Radio/Navigation/Clock Issues. A year or more ago, when I set my clock during daylight savings the clock would not stay set. Every time I would start the car it would default to the incorrect time. I took my car into Alaska Sales and Service Chevrolet Dealership and they said it was under warranty and a update on the computer system needed to be done and it seemed to fix the problem. After a while the problem returned. I took my car to South Anchorage Chevrolet and they said my vehicle (which has 24,034) miles on it was no longer in warranty and charged me $126 to check it on a computer and "update the computer". I picked the car up and it did not fix it at all. The dealership told me that - they did all the diagnostics that GM provides from a computer and if that doesn't work - the only fix that GM recommends is for the "WHOLE SYSTEM TO BE REPLACED". The service rep Shane said that it was a $1,800 replacement! 24,034 miles and the only fix for the radio/clock/navigation system is to be replaced? WHAT? It it worse now - when I start my car the navigation turns itself on with Washington DC as the starting location, the clock time is still off and does not stay set with the correct time. Surely there is something else that can be done to remedy this?
