This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
Driver power seat, front left side, support bracket snapped, allowing left corner of seat to rock up and down. If right side snapped simultaneously, driver would have possibly been thrown backward and could have lost control of the vehicle. The weld on the bracket failed during normal use. Consequences could include loss of control. Correction will involve removal of seat for new weld.
The power seat frame on the driver's side broke while it was being used. The seat would rocked backwards & forwards when brakes or accelerator pedal was in use. This is a hazarous problem for the driver. Took vehicle to a body shop & the seat was welded. Problem keeps returning.
