purchased car in 2006 with 18000 miles from dealer first issue..paint peeling on wiper arm and rust..not covered..corrosion
2nd issue compass failed..covered under warranty twice..never worked as should
3rd issue gas fumes in car..gas odor outside car..fuel leaks on ground..not covered..corrosion..no aftermarket tanks made..oem from dealer 900.00 for new tank plus labor..dealers comment..welcome to new york salt..bad design, salt gets between protective skid plate and tank
4th issue car would stall going down the road or quit all together..let cool down and restart dealer said camshaft positioning sensor bad..not covered..corrosion issue((not corrosion, exhaust manifold too close to sensor and melts wiring..BAD and DANGEROUS design
5th issue..noise coming from rf wheel area, clunking or pinging, two weeks later backing out of driveway spring broke went thru tire and suspension collapsed..you guessed it not covered corrosion issue..replaced spring with oem, tire and new strut, had alignment done
6th issue abs and traction control dash lights coming on and off constantly..again was told abs sensor rings on drive axles corroded, not covered..never repaired yet
now has 75000 miles and still runs and drives great this car was and never should have been sold in the northeast where large amounts of road salt are used
everyone i have seen has rust perforation at rear tailgate at wiper arm shaft thru gate left and right quarter panels at wheel opening and vertical window trim at rear side glass, every one in the northeast..not covered, corrosion from salt..again bad design for salt areas
brake rotors and brake rotor shields self destruct in salt states..not covered
front grille disintegrates in your hand from corrosion..not covered
have noticed rust starting in the shock tower areas on both sides, could be an issue soon.
