I drive close to 50 miles to this dealership .Diesel is not cheap. I paid $80,000 for this unit and expect it to have everything to work properly. My outside air temp does not work properly, if it's 10 deg. it will show 30 deg. then down to 20 then back up to 30 or more deg. They replaced the sensor in the mirror and it did the same thing. I called the dealership and told them it is still doing the same thing. I said I will come back when service is due to have this problem repaired and let them know my mirror on the P.S. will stop working at times when stowing it when I park the unit.
Back to the dealer ship when my service was due, had the oil changed and the fuel filter changed and they had to reset or calibrate the outside temp. sensor and that should take care of the problem. The sensor is working slowly what I was told. That was the 3rd time there and the problem still exist The mirror problem was not taken care of because they could not get it to act up, so no new mirror. I was told to bring it in when it happens again so they can see it and go from there. {I guess replace it, who Knows} So I drive 50 miles with my mirrors stowed or out of position this does not make any sense.[Safety] I worked at a Caterpillar dealership for 20 years, we always made sure all was right after the repair was done, If we had to we will call Caterpillar Corp. for advise on the repair being done to get done right. Hated come backs.
