17309 - Service Update. On certain vehicles equipped with a Duramax diesel engine (RPO L5P), DTC P2002 may be disabled causing a cracked or inoperative diesel particulate filter to go undetected. The customer may see black smoke exiting the tail pipe.Dealers are to reprogram the engine control module.
