This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that may have Malfunction Indicator Lamp. Technician may find a Diagnostic Trouble Code P16F3 current or history in the Transmission Control Module. Technician should verify that the Diagnostic Trouble Code P16F3 is set in the Transmission Control Module. If the Diagnostic Trouble Code is set in the Transmission Control Module technician will need to contact General Motors Technical Assistance Center for further assistance.
