On my GMC 2015 Denali 2500HD, front and front/side parking sensors go off while driving. If you are in bumper to bumper traffic, or going through a fast food lane or banking drive through, the sensors go off...especially if you are in traffic and the lanes are tight. When cars, buses, trucks come up along side of you, the sensors go off. The system cannot distinguish driving from parking. Also you cannot put a brush guard, driving lights, or winch on the front, because the sensors will pick this extra hardware up and go off. There is no way to turn just the front off in the software...it is either both front and rear on or front and rear off. So, I have permanently deactivated this wonderful feature that I paid good bucks for.
Who is letting these misses out the door and GMC? Don't they have product assurance? or Systems Assurance? Does anyone do human factors testing or compatibility testing?
