This Preliminary Information communication advises the technician that If it is determined the crankshaft needs to be replaced complete the Service Information diagnostics to determine if the crankshaft requires replacement. If determined the engine has bearing and crankshaft damage, the engine should be replaced along with the oil cooler. Also ensure latest version of 09-06-04-026G to verify the Engine Control Module calibration is not an Aftermarket calibration.
