GM has known that the headlights on the 2014-2015 GM Sierra are defective. GM released the information only to dealers as a "technical service bulletin" so the new owners would not be notified. At my own expense, I had my headlights replaced. This did not correct the problen. I contacted GM. They suggested it was not the headlight itself, but the computer controling the headlights. They suggested I have the computer reprogramed. I took it to the dealer to have the computer reprogramed at my own expence. The dealer said, " Reprogramed to WHAT?
I paid for the diagnostic service. Problem not fixed. I purchased a whole new lighting system. Last night while driving back from Miami FL, to Port St.Lucie, the headlights went completely dark. There have been many lawsuits against GM for these defective headlights. But because the plaintiffs didn't show any claims of injuries or accidents caused by the dim headlights, the case was dismissed.
