-??Faulty fuel pump driver module-?? part Not available for inspection. Repaired at dealership and they kept the part. While driving 75 mph on the interstate during high traffic time my GMC Sierra 3.0 diesel truck engine shut completely down, not just once but on several occasions putting myself and three other in a life safety situation due to the traffic around us at the time. I had to navigate the truck through traffic and off the road. Once there the vehicle was turned off allowed to sit for a few minutes and restarted. The vehicle would restart and we continued only to have this scenario repeated again several times. Faulty fuel module was diagnosed by mechanic at dealership and replaced. Part was not inspected by no one to my knowledge except the mechanic. There was no prior warnings before this incident happened. After the incident the engine light came on with a message that stated check ESC.

There is an occasional burning rubber smell(weekly and daily) coming into the cabin of the truck from the Duramax engine/exhaust. The dealer was notified and they informed me from their bulletins on the matter, that they believe it is from a "wax" on the vehicle exhaust system when heated up. They informed me that their is no remedy or fix at this time. The smell and air quality that me and my family are breathing I believe is unhealthy and possibly toxic. I would like the GM to replace these components causing the issue.
