The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to varney Buick GMC Mazda (260 hogan rd, bangor, me 04401) where the bulbs were replaced under a technical service bulletin however, the bulb replacement failed to fix the failure. The contact stated that he replaced the bulbs twice with led bulbs however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was not taken back to the dealer and was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 28,202. Consumer stated vehicle was taken to the dealer for defective driving light. Dealer stated nothing could be done about it. Consumer also stated he had hit 2 deers at night.

The failure was more prevalent during inclement weather. The manufacturer was notified and did not offer another oem light fixture with a higher volume of lighting. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified and did not assist. The VIN was not available. The approximate failure mileage was 1,000.

The contact stated that the lights became brighter, but the failure was not completely repaired. The contact did not remember whether the manufacturer was made aware of the failure.
