This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that may have the rear vision camera system displaying "Rear Park Assist Symbols Unavailable" and the steering grid lines displayed do not show. If the vehicle is in reverse, the rear vision camera will display "Rear Park Assist Symbols Unavailable" and does not have Regular Production Option Code UD5 or UD7 the radio must be updated using Service Programming System to correct this concern. Some vehicles may not show steering guide/grid lines displayed in the Rear Vision Camera display. Dealer should communicate to the customer that steering guide/grid lines are not available with this base radio Regular Production Option Code (IO3). Some vehicles while in reverse and the rear park assist system detects an object, the warning triangle symbol is displayed on the wrong side of the radio display. Engineering is aware of the issue and updated radio/tuner calibrations will be released shortly.
