This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles with poor headlight performance when driving in very dark rural areas. Technician should perform normal diagnostics first. If no issue found or the customer is still has complaint the Body Control Module for vehicles built before 12/23/14 at Flint Assembly (11th Vehicle Identification Number Digit "F"), 1/13/15 at Silao Assembly (11th Vehicle Identification Number Digit "G") or 1/16/15 at Ft. Wayne Assembly (11th Vehicle Identification Number Digit "Z"). Technician should replace both headlights with part number 23342527. After the headlights are replaced a headlamp aiming procedure should be performed.
