This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that may have an intermittent crank / no start concern. Technician may find a Diagnostic Trouble Code in the Engine Control Module P1682. Technician will need to follow published Service Information diagnostics for the Diagnostic Trouble Code. If Service Information diagnostics lead to a root cause of the concern technician should replace the Engine Controls Ignition Relay # 70 with part number 13500118.
