This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about systems operate during a remote vehicle start event. Dual Zone Auto Regular Production Option Code (CJ2) Heater-Vent-Air Conditioning settings the Heater-Vent-Air Conditioning settings will remain set to the previous Heater-Vent-Air Conditioning settings when the ignition was turned off. Single Zone Manual Regular Production Option Code (C67) HVAC settings the Heater-Vent-Air Conditioning settings will remain set to the previous Heater-Vent-Air Conditioning settings when the ignition was turned off. The Rear window defogger during a remote start event, the rear window defogger will turn on if the outside temperature is 44 degrees Fahrenheit (7 degrees Celsius) or below. The heated seats will not turn on if a Remote Vehicle Start event is performed within 2 hours of shutting the engine off. The cooled seats will turn to the high setting when the ambient temperature is above 80 degrees Fahrenheit (27 degrees Celsius). Heated steering wheel will not turn on during Remote Vehicle Start event.
