We bought our 2011 GMC Sierra when it was two years old and evidently the first owner never took it in for the recall.
So, we had to pay $250 with a $100 deductible thank goodness we had an extended warranty. But this should have been fixed earlier and evidently Dealers don't have to fix them or tell you about any recalls. Since we bought it at a Dodge dealer there was nothing GMC could do to help us...what a Great system no following up on recalls from another Dealer.
We could not wait around and investigate because we were dealing with a transmission issue, what if it would have gotten water, metal or something into the transmission... OH Well so much for our auto companies helping the consumer. This was explicitly a manufacturing error.....
By the way, we do like our GMC so far
