The contact was unsure if any warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the entire subframe was rusted and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 125,900.

The contact stated that the vehicle was purchased less than one year ago before the failure was discovered. The vehicle was inspected by a dealer and they offered no assistance, stating that the failure was normal. The manufacturer was then contacted and they offered no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 15,000. The VIN was not available.
