My wife and I went for a drive. We could smell fuel. I stopped and looked under and couldn't see anything wet. When we got home I looked again and low and behold there was fuel pissing everywhere. We could have been burned to death. We were lucky. The pressure line coming out of the tank had rusted through with 60 psi driving it. I think they should last longer than 5 and a half years. Is there any way GMC is aware of this issue as it is a safety concern and I know I'm not alone after searching the Internet.
Update from Jul 29, 2015: while removing the box to change the fuel pump.I had to cut the heads off 2 bolts as they were so rusted they spun the nuts in the frame.Gas and grinders don't mix.but had to be done.I called customer service at GM all they said was sorry your warranty has expired.Take it to a dealer
