I will be taking to the dealer to diagnose the problem. Do not yet have any idea what is causing this problem. Although when the truck was new with less than 200 miles the starter shorted out or at least that is what the dealer said. They replaced the starter and it has been problem free until april 2017. Since then, over the course of a year I have replaced the alternator 4 times. Now it looks like # 5. lets see what the dealer finds. Stay tuned. If the alternator is being shorted out you would think it would happen immediately. It'll work fine for a couple of months then the built in regulator will fail. Any suggestions before I take it to the dealer would be gratefully appreciated.
