vibration of truck at 20 mph on a steady pull and higher
The truck started this vibration few months back. I took the truck to a reputable GM person and he felt the baffles inside the muffler were loose. I had the muffler replaced at a muffler exhaust company day after new year. The roads were bad from an ice storm so I did not notice the vibration until later in the day when I went out for errands. I went to a GM dealership and they took it for a test ride and said it was the exhaust because the replacement muffler's ports did not meet the OEM specs. I found an orginal muffler and had a custom exhaust shop install it. They could not find any rubbing, movement on my trucks exhaust system. After leaving the shop the vibration was still there. I went to a transmission shop to have them look at it and they could not see anything to cause this problem..I went to another GM dealer and a mechanic felt it was a tight U joint. Well that was not it. I was told I would have to live with the problem.Nobody has a clue what the problem is. I like my truck and really can't afford to buy a new one. Sounds like the vibration is coming from the front also .All checked the manifold and it seems tight also. No one thinks it's the transmission. Any ideas ?
