I received a recall notice from GMC. The recall was to update the CPU to recalibrate for carbon monoxide control. The dealer did the update, I drove two blocks and the truck died, lost all power. I restarted it and it died again. I'm back at the dealer waiting for an answer. The truck has never died on me before this.
Update from Oct 6, 2015: According to the dealer, the CPU had adjusted the fuel mix to compensate due to the throttle body being dirty, so when the recall recalibration reset the fuel mix it caused the truck to stall. The dealer cleaned the throttle body, reset the CPU again and the truck runs fine. I'm getting better mileage and the intermediate check engine light is finally off.
