The contact owns a 2007 GMC Sierra 1500. While driving 65 mph the contact accidentally activated the adjustable throttle pedal switch and the vehicle began to accelerate. The contact was able to maintain control of the vehicle and avoid a collision. The throttle switch engaged the vehicle's speed control. The contact was aware that the location of the throttle switchwas a safety hazard. Complaint # 71502035998 was filed with General Motors, and the customer service representative failed to warn the contact that the throttle switch could be deactivated. The current mileage is 986, and failure mileage was 110.
