The contact owns a 2006 GMC Sierra 1500. The contact stated that while driving 75 mph, the service 4-wheel drive light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnosis and the transfer case encoder motor and transfer case selector switch were both replaced. Three years later the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to the contact's personal mechanic and the same parts were replaced. The failure mileage was 53,012 and the current mileage is 115,603 updated 7/26/12 updated 08/07/12
