Day after purchased this truck brand new with about 20 miles on it, i went to get it started and then I noticed it!
Unexpectedly, out of the blue when you never had hear or read about it I noticed that inn the morning after a nice sweet night dreams and illusions, plans, excitement for what ahead on the road, I was proud and happy to have inside my garage this good looking and that nice smell of a new truck!
My son noticed and pointed at it, I ignored him sort of, and told him maybe was the door creaking noise that I been postponing to oil. I turned on truck and off I went for a ride.
Second day, it happened again! Then I realized that my son was right, the noise the day before was it not any creaking door of the house... IT WAS A STUPID CREAKING DOOR OF MY NEW TRUCK! DAMN IT!
WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY TRUCK, I THOUGHT... Well, these idiots at GMC engineering and marketing department decided to sell this crappy truck with a system that "purges" or "primes" the engine with a squirt of gasoline every time AFTER vehicle has been parked for little while, and the actuation happens automatically when the driver's door opens.
This "priming" or "purging" is loud and clearly sound like a door creaking that last for about 2-3 seconds when driver's door opens.
My solution to this was to sell truck 2 years later, and on the time I had this vehicle I always was annoyed by this stupid sound. Sold it with 15,000 miles on it.
