The contact owns a 2007 GMC Sierra. While driving various speeds, the transmission slipped into the third and fourth gears and the check engine warning indicator illuminated. The dealer stated that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired and the manufacturer was not notified. The approximate failure mileage was 60,000.
Traveling at a low speed on my property and the truck entered into a "reduced power" mode. Which cut off all power to the drive train. You were left with no ability to go front or back. After shutting off the truck and restarting it returned to normal. Local GMC dealer says he gets one a month for this condition. Costs to repair exceeds a $1000. Lost of power could happen any time. Very dangerous situation.
