The contact stated while driving heard a noise and the vehicle fish tailed in the rear. He immediately pulled over and inspected the vehicle. The tread along the sidewall of the tire on the rear driver's side separated. A black powder substance was on the inside of the damaged tire. There were no obvious road hazards. The vehicle has not been seen by a dealer. Bridgestone dueler at, P265/70R17.
The contact states while driving under normal conditions at various speeds he experienced an ongoing issue with tire failure. He does not believe this is related to any road hazards. He has experienced complete tread separation on all four tires. He has been consulting with the dealer and the manufacture regarding this ongoing problem. He has replaced the tires with a different brand of tires at his own expense. The dealer replaced one of the tires. However at this time the manufacturer is unwilling to offer any further assistance. The tires are general ameri trac P245/70R17.
A new tire had a tread separation. GMC truck that is only 4 months old. The tire failed, and there was a separation of tread. The failure occurred on the outside tread.
