This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that have a Service Engine Soon Malfunction Indicator Lamp on shortly after cold start. Technician will find a Diagnostic Trouble Code P2181 in the Engine Control Module. Technician will need to inspect the rear heater pipes shown below for proper installation.
