Upon attemting to start engine, it will not start, instead will shake; then, cut off. Had to try and try for engine to start, mechanic was contacted, and said problem was fuel injector. The consumer was asking for reimbursment
I had to replace the fuel inejctor system on this vehicle. The mechanic that repaired this informed me that this is a common problem with this General Motors engine. The cost was close to $500. The faulty injector caused raw gasoline to flow down into the crankcase thinning out the engine oil. Raw fuel was dripping out of my exhaust pipe. This is a potentially dangerous situation as it could lead to an engine fire and possible personal injury. GM has know that these injectors were faulty and I feel that there should be a recall on this. I would also like GM to reimburse me for this part thank you.
