The contact stated there was GM recall 01073 on the exterior hazard lamp switch and the breaking light sensor. This recall was fixed in 2001. The contact heard a clicking sound under the dashboard, and the dealer said that it was the hazard lamp switch that was bad again, and that it could cause a fire. He noticed this on 8-6-05. GMC wanted to charge the contact for repairs, even though it was fixed before. Also, he talked to GMC and they will not fix it again for free.
Pulled over to side of highway (raining) and engaged the hazard signal briefly and disengaged and directional signal and brake lights failed to operate. Mechanic changed all bulbs that were burn out. Hazard lights and braking lights are still not operational.
