The stop lamps (switches/relays) failed 3 times so far. This poses a dangerous situation for families since this component fails regularly leaving the occupants without brake lights. The dealership(s) were aware of the problem but noted that GMC does not consider this widespread. I tend to disagree since this has happened regularly for us. I believe there are many 2000 Jimmy owners on the road and unaware of non-working brake lights.
