- RECALL CAMPAIGN 95-C-31 - GENERAL MOTORS HAS DETERMINED THAT CERTAIN 1995 GMC TRUCK 2 WHEEL AND 4 WHEEL DRIVE SONOMA PICKUP TRUCKS EQUIPPED WITH 4.3L ENGINES (RPO L35 - VIN CODE W) AND 1995 GMC TRUCK 4 WHEEL DRIVE JIMMYS EQUIPPED WITH 4.3L ENGINES (RPO L35 VICN CODE W) AND AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION WITH ELECTRONIC TRANSFER CASE (RPO NP1) WERE SHIPPED WITH ACRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR THAT MAY FAIL DUE TO LIQUID INTRUSION. FAILURE OF THE SENSOR MAY RESULT IN ENGINE STALLING WITH A NO START OR HARD START CONDITION. TO CORRECT THIS CONDITION, DEALERS ARE TO INSTALL A NEW CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR. *TW
