ABS brake problem; on regular road conditions, during normal braking when applying the brakes, the pedal goes to the floor with no resistance. Twice rotors have been replaced, about 1 year ago, again on 9/20/97. Experienced 2 brake failures since that time.
Consumer purchased vehicle July 96. He began experiencing problems with brakes which led to changing the whole braking system. Then consumer later had problms. He then changed the brake master cylinder. After master cylinder changed the ABS light began to come on, and stayed on every time the car was put into drive mode.
EA94-038; upon depressing the brake pedal on wet or dry surface, the pedal became very soft, resulting in the pedal traveling to the floorboard, causing extended stopping distance. Consumer has contacted the dealer, dealer has replaced the brakes, shoes, pads.

Vehicle is equipped w/ABS brakes, but owner unclear at the time complaint was initiated. When applying brakes, vehicle failed to respond to pedal application. Has replaced (5) sets of brake pads on the front. Dealership unable to detect cause for erratic performance.
When weather is very cold or humid, ABS brakes do not work properly; there are no brakes after a few minutes; they would stick & have no control over braking; took to dealer twice, could not locate or fix problem.
Vehicle has ABS brakes. Owner indicates that he has excessive brake wear. Also, outer brake pad is thicker than inner. As a result, the wear detector cannot identify brake problem.
ABS problems, on damp road conditions when braking the vehicle makes a horrible grinding noise and pedal goes to the floor and vehicle will not stop. Dealer cannot find anything wrong with vehicle. Bushings has been replaced twice and brake pads once.
When applying the brakes they will go to the floor. Dealer put in new brakes because the brakes were totally lost. Still having the same braking problems.
Applied the ABS to make a sudden stop and the brakes did not pick up, had to swerve to miss another vehicle and applied the brakes again and they picked up.
Failure of the anti-lock brakes, when the consumer applies force to the brake pedal the vehicle continues to move, resulting in extended stopping distance/ brakes fade away, EA94-038.
Owner has ABS brakes, he states that he was involved in a collision because his brakes did not function when pedal was pushed. He also notes that vehicle went into an intersection due to faulty ABS brakes.
