GMC 2004 Envoy XL SUV has repeated stopping problems at low speed. Brake peddle has excessive travel and coast through stop signs at low speed. Experienced near misses with cars in parking lots. Brake peddle collapses to floor at stop lights and signs when stopped. False ABS activation on dry pavement.
The contact owns a 2004 GMC Envoy XL. While pulling into driveway at 5 mph the vehicle would not stop, it accelerated and then I hit garage. There was damage to the garage the garage door had to be replaced. The vehicle was damaged, the estimated cost to repair the vehicle was $5000. The vehicle is at the dealer. An investigation is ongoing at this time. When the tow truck came to pick the vehicle the driver noted that the brakes were all the way to the floor.
