While the vehicle was parked at my wife's place of employment the back window shattered into a million pieces. The weather at the time was cool with low humidity. No apparent cause existed at the time, local police have ruled out vandals or intentional acts.
The contact owns a 2007 GMC Envoy. The fuel gauges on the instrument control panel inaccurately displays the amount of fuel present in the fuel tank. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection. The technician stated this was a common failure for her model type. He then added that the failure was not covered under warranty, so she was ineligible for a free remedy. The current and failure mileages were 39,200. Updated 3/8/10 the consumer also stated that the rear hatch was inoperative and when it rained the windows would get stuck. Updated 05/13/10.
