The contact owns a 2006 GMC Envoy. While driving approximately 60 mph, the front driver side window rolled down intermittently and the power switch shorted out. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 140,000.

The contact owns a 2006 GMC Envoy. The contact stated while driving 20 mph, the driver's side master power window switch became inoperable. The contact received safety recall notification NHTSA campaign number 13V248000(electrical system, visibility); however, the failure occurred immediately after the recall repair was performed. The failure occurred intermittently. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing regarding an electrical failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified about the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 140,000. Updated 10/07/14 the consumer stated the radio would stay on after removing the key and exiting the vehicle especially if the windows are left down. The vehicle did not experience failures prior to the recall being performed. Updated 3/16/2015

2006 GMC Envoy. Consumer writes in regards to reimbursement for front power window switch module replacement. According to the invoice, the power window switch was defective due to corrosion caused by water or rain that leaked into the main circuit board window switch module.

The contact owns a 2006 GMC Envoy. The contact stated that the driver's side door panel malfunctioned. The contact changed the fuse and immediately afterward, the door panel began to smoke. The fuse later blew and the smoke ceased. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer for diagnosis. The manufacturer was contacted and they advised that his vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign id number 12V406000 (visibility:power window devices and controls). The vehicle had not been repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 90,000. The current mileage was unavailable. Updated 11/29/12
