6 years after new purchase and approximately 70,000 miles, rust bubbles started appearing around the lower inside edges of all five doors. No actual rust was visible until dealer manager pealed a small area of bubbling paint off with a knife and exposed the rust underneath. GM would not take responsibility for the paint defect, had to pay out of pocket for dealer to sand and repaint. Rust protection warranty was not honored because no rust-through had occurred yet.
Consumer complained about tail lights malfunctioning. Also, while driving, consumer could hear the air coming inside the vehicle. In other words, the vehicle was not air tight.
Various problems with 2003 GMC Envoy. The was a "pinging, " on the drivers side. The power steering fluid was low and the steering gear had an internal failure, the drivers door made a rattling noise along with hood rattling.
One week ago I purchased a 2003 Envoy sle 4WD, it has 200 miles on it currently and noticed upon delivery that a molding around the drivers side door is crooked. And 2 days ago I noticed a large puddle of fresh oil under my vehicle, and my oil light went on this morning. I haven't even had this vehicle for one week and I have to take it in for repairs. This does not make me feel overly comfortable about my purchase.
