TSB Document:
Affected Component: EQUIPMENT
- Summary
- 27621 - CUSTOMER ADVISORY LETTER MAILING. LETTER MAILING TO OWNERS ADVISING THAT THE VEHICLE MAY HAVE BEEN BUILT WITH A HEAVY-DUTY TRAILER HITCH RATED AT 7,000 LB INSTEAD OF THE 3,500 LB TRAILERING PACKAGE VEHICLE BUILD SPECIFICATION. IF THE VEHICLE WAS BUILT WITH A 7,000 LB TRAILER HITCH, IT IS STILL LIMITED TO A MAXIMUM TRAILER WEIGHT OF 3,500 LB. TOWING A TRAILER WHOSE WEIGHT IS MORE THAN 3,500 LB COULD AFFECT POWERTRAIN COOLING, POTENTIALLY RESULTING IN AN OVERHEAT CONDITION OR COULD CHANGE THE WAY THE VEHICLE HANDLES.
