2016 GMC Canyon. I was driving home from my church on 5/15/22 at 1:00 pm when all the oil comes running out of the engine, causing it to catch on fire. No warning lights come on the dashboard. Only good thing, I had got almost home to my driveway, and smoke started boiling from under the hood. Was able to raise the hood and a fire was in progress. I was able to get my water hose at the house and put the fire out.
I just finished paying for this truck in Jan. of this year (2022). Only 38,400 miles on the truck. It looks like new. Was offered a month ago from Nelson GMC AUTO. 25,700 cash for it, not trading for anything. Wish I had took the money now. Now I don't have anything to drive. Would never get the dealership to try and fix it. They can't rotate tires correctly.
After all the wiring that has melted off the engine and laying in my driveway, it would be like putting back together a jigsaw puzzle. No excuse in a vehicle with this milage on it ,something like this happening! LOTs OF RECALLS On THIS PIECE OF SH__! I've turned it in to my Insurance. They are so busy at the place that will try to fix, that they can't pick it up until June 2nd, 2022. With 600 dollars travel expense on my Ins, and 60 dollars a day to rent the cheapest thing they have, that's 10 days to rent.
