This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician on the steps to repair vehicles that may have a Service Power Steering message on the Driver Information Center or Diagnostic Trouble Code C056D stored in the Power Steering Control Module. Technician will reprogram the Power Steering Control Module using Service Programming System. If code Diagnostic Trouble Code C0545 is stored technician will need to General Motors Technical Assistance Center for further assistance.
