This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that have a Service Engine Soon Malfunction Indicator Lamp on. Technician may find P0017 stored. If the Service Information diagnostics and the latest version of PIP3694 do not isolate the cause of this concern then monitor the oil pressure and oil level and address any concerns.
