The contact owns a 2004 GMC Canyon. The contact stated that one stud broke off of each tire on the front driver side and rear driver side of the vehicle when the tires were rotated. The dealer stated that when this year, make and model vehicle was being made it appeared that GMC was getting low quality steel from Japan. This failure has not occurred on any other year, make and model Canyon. The failure mileage was 17000 and the current mileage was 22000. Updated 9/13/10 the dealer replaced all 6 left front wheel studs. Updated 09/15/10
