I must wear hearing aides and the alarm simply makes this impossible when around the car. I open the back door when in my garage so the alarm will not go off if I leave the key FOB on the console. The alarm will ring incessantly for 8 'rings'. It is unnecessarily loud and cannot be corrected without tearing the Bose speaker from it cradle in the door. But since the thing is out of warranty...it appears. I am considering some remodeling!! It also has the infamous flaw with the 'shift into park" dash message problem (covered elsewhere) and that ALSO includes this alarm ongoing forever. No one seems to know how to shut the alarm off. Need to get rid of the car to get rid of the alarm.
