Not sure of the connection, but I also have an electrical burning smell, like wires. I know this because I had a previous car that had burning wires and melting my steering panel, but I found it before it caught fire. I took it to the dealership they told me there is nothing wrong with the DIC screen and no burning wires, so there must have been something in the area I was driving around. So instead of stating they can't find something wrong they are trying to blame my college educated ignorance......ok then.
