GM is not doing anything to remedy this airbag recall. They are not allowing their own employees to drive the company car with the same recall yet they are expecting the consumer to continue to drive it knowing, if deployed, the driver airbag could explode shrapnel and kill or harm myself and my children in the car. They are not providing any replacement car for me to drive in while they come up with a solution and they are also not wanting to give me anything close to a fair value to trade it in. So, if I want to sell my car, which I own outright, I will lose thousands of dollars from only owning it for three years. They have no remedy or timeline on when one might be available. GM is the only manufacturer not making right on this recall.

UNKNOWN. The recall came out in May, there has been no remedy made available yet. The recall lists potentially fatal outcomes, and there is no resolution to be had.
Nothing has failed on the vehicle, nor are there any apparent problems. My GMC Acadia is a second vehicle for my household (not a primary vehicle). I also have it listed on Turo to make some additional income. With the recall, Turo un-listed my vehicle for safety reasons and I also had to cancel a reservation that was already made. The safety recall already identifies the airbags need to be replaced, but it also says parts are not available. The delay in getting a remedy for this recall is causing me to lose income.
